Zac Goldsmith (Conservative PPC, Richmond Park) "I will do everything in my power..."
Zac Goldsmith writes (9/10 January 2010):
---------------- Dear Carol [HWA Chair, Hampton Wick Assoc, KBPF member],
As a parliamentary candidate, I have consistently and absolutely opposed
the introduction of car parking charges in Richmond Park. I have
collected
more than 2,000 signatures, I have had numerous meetings with RP
representatives, I have written to Margaret Hodge, and I have organised
what I believe will be a mass cross-Party rally at the end of this
month.
If I am elected as the MP for Richmond Park and North Kingston, my
position will not change. I will do everything in my power to ensure the
Conservative Party reverses this Government's decision.
Best wishes,
Zac Goldsmith

Dear Zac
Thanks for your reply.
We are encouraged by your answer - thank you for being so clear.
Are you able to assure us that your efforts to reverse any Richmond Park
car parking charges would also be extended to Bushy Park? It is natural
that all of us who are involved in this campaign tend to focus on the
Park that we know best. However it is likely that, if elected, your
influence would cover broader issues than just your own constituency.
I'm sure you'll understand - especially with the possibility of us
bringing significant numbers of Bushy Park supporters to the Richmond
Rally on 30th Jan - that we would welcome your commitment to try to
reverse any charges that might have been imposed on Bushy Park as well
as on Richmond.
Kind regards
Carol

Dear Carol,
Yes of course. Apologies for not being clearer.
Best wishes,
Zac
